Last updated: 2 June 2026
CurioKids, part of the Flavoureak Group, is committed to protecting the privacy of the families who use our platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We give particular care to the personal data of children, which is only ever provided and managed by a parent or legal guardian.
1. Data we collect
- Account data β name, email, password, and contact details for parents and teachers.
- Child profile data β a child's first name, age or year group, learning level, and lesson progress, provided by the parent.
- Lesson data β bookings, attendance, teacher feedback, assessments, and, where consented, session recordings.
- Payment data β billing details processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical data β device, browser, and usage information needed to run and secure the Service.
2. How we use data
We use personal data to:
- provide and personalise lessons and track learning progress;
- schedule classes and send reminders and important notifications;
- process payments and teacher payouts;
- keep children and users safe and the platform secure; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
3. Children's privacy
Child profiles are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. We collect only the minimum information needed to deliver lessons, and we do not use children's data for advertising. A parent may review, update, or request deletion of their child's data at any time through their account or by contacting us.
4. Session recordings
Live classes may be recorded for safeguarding, dispute resolution, and quality assurance. Recording only occurs where consent has been given, and recordings are access-controlled and retained no longer than necessary.
5. Sharing
We share data with teachers (only as needed to deliver lessons) and with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, payment, email, and video infrastructure). We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect the safety of children or other users.
6. Security & retention
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, and we retain it only for as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will notify you of material changes through the Service or by email.
