Accessibility Statement

CurioKids should work for everyone: parents booking lessons, and children learning in them, whatever their abilities and whatever device they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across our website and apps.

• Every page of our website starts with a “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users.
• Our website can be used with a keyboard, and links and buttons show clearly when they have focus.
• Our website’s pages are built with proper headings and landmarks, so screen readers can move around them.
• Text colours on our website are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast level.
• If your device is set to reduce motion, our website’s animations are switched off.
• Our cookie banner never blocks the page or takes your focus away from what you are doing.

We haven’t yet had a full, independent accessibility audit. We know that:

• the live classroom (video, whiteboard and lesson slides) and our learning games may be hard to use with a screen reader or with a keyboard alone;
• lessons don’t have live captions;
• some screens in the app and the mobile apps haven’t been checked against WCAG yet.

We are working through these. If one of them affects you, tell us and we will help you another way.

• the page or screen, and what you were trying to do;
• what went wrong, and the device, browser or assistive technology you use, if you know.

We aim to reply within 5 business days. If you need something in another format, or help booking or managing lessons by email instead of in the app, just ask. If your child has needs their teacher should know about, you can add a note for the teacher in your child’s profile or tell us.

We will update this statement as we test and improve CurioKids. The version number and date at the top show which version you are reading.
