Our story
New, and starting with our founding families
We are opening with our founding families, and lessons, including the free first lesson, can be booked now.
We started CurioKids to give children a simple, joyful way into English: live lessons with a real teacher, 1-to-1, that begin with learning to read sound by sound: Phonics Starter, 52 lessons in 10 units, then CEFR-based levels Pre-A1, A1, A2. Most children start with Phonics Starter; a child who already reads can be placed straight into a CEFR-based level after the free first lesson.
We teach families in Singapore and Malaysia, with prices in each country's own currency. Families in other countries see our prices in Singapore dollars.
How we teach
Why phonics first, and why 1-to-1
Phonics first
Phonics teaches children the sounds that letters and groups of letters make, and how to blend them into words, so they can work out words they haven't seen before. Most children start with Phonics Starter; a child who already reads can be placed straight into a CEFR-based level after the free first lesson.
1-to-1, every time
In a 1-to-1 lesson the teacher's attention is on one child for all 25 minutes. The lesson moves at your child's pace, and a shy child never has to compete to be heard.
25 minutes, every week
We think short, regular lessons suit young children: 25 minutes, one, two or three times a week.
What we believe
The things we won't compromise on
Safety is not optional
Teachers can't teach until our team has confirmed a background check and they have signed our teaching agreement. A “Report a concern” button is in every lesson.
Try before you pay
Your child's first lesson is free, and you don't need a card until you decide to continue.
Honest prices
Prices in your own currency, billed every 4 weeks or weekly, and locked on your subscription, so future price changes don't affect you.
Parents see progress
Teacher feedback after lessons, progress in your parent dashboard and a certificate each time your child moves up a level.
Lessons should be fun
Games, a whiteboard to draw on and a real teacher to talk to: we want children to look forward to their next lesson.

Meet a teacher, see how lessons work, and only choose a plan if your child wants to continue. Plans start from S$16.58 per lesson.
