How CurioKids works
Book a free first lesson with no card, meet a real teacher, and continue on a weekly plan only if your child wants to. Here is every step, and what happens in a 25-minute lesson.

Five steps. You only choose a plan, and add a card, if your child wants to continue.
No card needed
Step 1: Book a free first lesson
Create a parent account, add your child and pick a time for their free first lesson. You don't need a card to book it.
In the free lesson
Step 2: Level check and teacher match
Your child meets a real teacher for a live 25-minute lesson. The teacher gets to know your child and records a starting level, and we match your child with a teacher for weekly lessons.

Step 3: Continue on a plan
If your child wants to continue, choose Starter, Growth or Accelerator (1, 2 or 3 lessons a week), billed every 4 weeks or weekly. Launch offer: 50% off your first 4 weeks for the first 50 families, until 30 November 2026.

Every lesson is 25 minutes, live and 1-to-1 with a real teacher.
After lessons
Step 5: Progress and certificates
Your child's teacher gives feedback after lessons, you follow progress in your parent dashboard, and each time your child moves up a level you get a certificate (PDF).

What happens in a lesson
Every lesson is live and 1-to-1 in the CurioKids online classroom. A typical 25-minute lesson runs in this order.
Part 1: Hello and warm-up
Your child's teacher says hello and warms up with sounds or words.
Part 2: Something new
New sounds, words or phrases, one step at a time on the lesson slides.
Part 3: Practise together
Blending, reading and speaking practice on the interactive whiteboard.
Part 4: Play and recap
Games to practise what's new, then a quick recap together.

Prices are per 4-week billing period in your local currency. Your first lesson is free, with no card needed until you continue. Change or cancel anytime.
Your price is locked on your subscription, so future price changes don't affect you.
Every 4 weeks, not monthly
Plans bill every 4 weeks (13 payments a year), so every cycle has an exact number of lessons: 4 on Starter, 8 on Growth, 12 on Accelerator.

Your price is locked
Your price is locked on your subscription, so future price changes don't affect you.
Change or cancel anytime
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Plan changes are prorated, except in the few cases our Terms set out, where a change starts at the end of a billing period; the app shows which before you confirm. A single lesson can be cancelled up to 2 hours before it starts.

Safety and privacy
Built to keep children safe
Here is exactly how we protect your child and your family's data.
Checked before they teach
Teachers can't teach until our team has confirmed a background check and they have signed our teaching agreement.
Report a concern, any time
A “Report a concern” button is in every lesson and throughout the app.
Contact details stay private
Messages block the sharing of personal contact details.
Child mode with your PIN
You control a child mode protected by a PIN.
Lessons stay in our classroom
Lessons happen only inside the CurioKids classroom.
No ads or trackers for children
There are no ads or third-party trackers inside the classroom or the children's app.
Secure payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. CurioKids never sees your full card number.
Hosted on AWS in Singapore
Your family's data is hosted on AWS in Singapore.
