How we write our guides
Our guides give parents clear, practical answers about children learning English. This page explains who writes them, how we check them and how to tell us if something is wrong.
Our standards
What every guide does
Written by the CurioKids team
The CurioKids team writes and checks every guide. Each one carries the team's byline, not a named author.
General guidance for parents
Guides share general, practical guidance you can try at home. They don't replace advice from your child's school, teacher or doctor, who know your child.
The answer comes first
Each guide answers its question in the first few sentences, and every section starts with its answer, so you can stop reading once you have what you need.
Checked against what we publish
Anything a guide says about CurioKids comes from the same facts as the rest of this website, such as 25-minute lessons and the 52 lessons of Phonics Starter. Guides show no prices: those are on our pricing pages.
No statistics, studies or other companies
We don't quote statistics, studies or experts, and we don't name or compare other companies. Guides stick to everyday knowledge about how children learn.
Dated, and kept up to date
Every guide shows when it was published and last updated. Guides about school in Singapore or Malaysia are checked again against announcements from the Ministry of Education Singapore and Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia, and updated when something changes.
Spotted a mistake?
Tell us which guide and what looks wrong: email hello@curiokidslearning.com or send us a message. We check every report, and when a guide needs fixing we correct it and change its “Updated” date.
